I was born and raised in Wilson, NC where I attended Wilson Christian Academy from Kindergarten through graduation. After high school, I went to Cedarville University for a semester where my major was Chemistry. After much prayer and contemplation, I tranferred to Bob Jones University where I majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During my years in college, I worked as a waitress at the Wilds Christian Camp and Conference Center. It became clear that I loved working with young people. So, I decided to combine that desire with my love of science and become a science teacher. I worked for a year at Alamance Christian School in Graham, NC. I have been at Grace since the Fall of 2012. My husband, Zachary, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Ashland, KY.
